INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Internship Practical Experience (3-6 credits)

Internship provided on the job training in real world situation where undergraduate earn college credit in their major while gaining valuable experience which can lead toward future employment. Work during study in the Dominican Republic.

The program places U.S. students in structured settings, which familiarizes them with overseas work and provides opportunities for practical experience and exposure to actual work situations in international career fields.

These may be with U.S. international agencies, local government agencies concerned with energy, health, education, environment, business and/or others that are critical to a country’s infrastructure.

The ITAC boasts a long list of affiliated companies that offer its students internship opportunities in almost any career field. Therefore, after 3-6 weeks of full time post- secondary studies, students are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week and full time hours.

 All students participating in the ITAC Internship Program are carefully trained, mentored and evaluated by both the ITAC staff and their company supervisor. At the end of the internship, students are asked to complete a detailed essay discussing their intern experience.
